I tried Aldi’s £4 Vitamin C Eye Cream and I like it better than my £38 high-end alternative

Eye creams are moisturizing products that can help with many concerns such as lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles.

For several years, I have switched between Ole Henriksen’s Banana Bright eye cream and Origins Ginzing Refreshing eye cream.

They are very expensive though, with Ole Henriksen retailing at a whopping £38 and Origin’s market at £30.

When I saw that Aldi had launched a Vitamin C eye cream I was very excited to try it out, especially when the price tag was only

The product description said: “Feel your best when you add this Lacura Vitamin C Eye Cream to your skincare routine.

“A brightening cream for puffy eyes and dark circles, while providing much-needed moisture.

“A gentle formula that is suitable for all skin types and adds a touch of luxury to your daily skin care routine.”

It is claimed to even out skin tone, brighten the skin around the eyes and help with premature aging such as lines and wrinkles.

On first impression, the packaging looks identical in a bright orange small pot with a white lid.

Upon opening, the cream looked exactly the same color as both the expensive options and even felt the same texture.

I used the Aldi cream for a month before doing comparisons with my beloved expensive alternatives.

The £4 cream glided under the eyes like a dream and blended seamlessly.

The scent is not overpowering, which I like in skincare products, and I was very impressed with this one.

Aldi recommended using eye cream in the morning and night, but I’ve only ever used eye cream in the morning, so I stuck to my routine.

After a month, my eye area looked brighter and it felt like my makeup stayed in place much better and there were less wrinkles.

I actually didn’t notice any difference between the Aldi eye cream and the high end options so I would definitely continue to use Aldi.

The only issue is availability as my local store is usually a bit thin on skin care.
