For everyone Limit fans, we have a very cool update waiting for your attention. Varun Dhawan has been roped in to play a prominent role Boundary 2. No, we’re not kidding. The actor has shared a wonderful update on Instagram along with the video. Varun will play the role of a soldier Boundary 2. The clip opens with the caption, “India’s biggest war film grows.” A few seconds later we can hear Varun’s speech, “Dushman ki har Goli se jai hind Bol kar tawatala hu…jab dharti maa bulati hai sab chhod kar aata hoon. Hindustan ka fauji hoon main.” The video also has some stills from the 1997 film. In the background we can hear the latest version of the iconic song Sandese Aate Hai Sonu Nigam. The film premieres on January 23, 2026.

Varun Dhawan has also penned a note expressing his excitement about the project. He said, “I was just a kid in class four when I went to the movie Chandan and saw Limit. And it made such an impression. I still remember the sense of national pride we all felt in the hall. I started looking at our armed forces and to this day I applaud how they protect us and keep us safe, whether it’s at our borders or during natural disasters.

Varun Dhawan called it a special moment: “JP Dutta Sir’s war epic remains one of my favorite films to this day. To attend Boundary 2 Producing JP sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very, very special moment in my career.” On Sunny Deol, he said, “And I get to work with Sunny [Deol] My paaji hero makes it even more special. I’m looking forward to bringing the valiant to javan’s story for the big screen, which promises to be India’s biggest war film. I ask for your good wishes. Jai Hind.”

Boundary 2the sequel to “India’s Biggest War Film” was in June. The film is directed by Anurag Singh. The film is co-backed by JP Dutta, who directed Border, his daughter Nidhi Dutt through JP Films and Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the T-series banner.

Based on the events of the Battle of Longewala during the Indo-Pakistani War in 1971, Border starred Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Akshaye Khanna, Sudesh Berry and Puneet Issari. Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Tabu, Raakhee, Pooja Bhatt and Sharbani Mukherjee were also part of the film.
