New Delhi:
Vijay Raaz has been separated from Ajay Devgn’s Sardar’s son 2. The actor was fired from the project due to alleged bad behavior. However, Vijay denied the allegations and claimed that he was fired from the film for not greeting Ajay on the sets. In an interaction with Pinkvilla, the actor said, “I arrived before the trial. I arrived in a van and Ravi Kishan came to meet me. EP, Ashish and producer Kumar Mangat came to meet me and after that Director Vijay Arora stepped out of the van and saw Ajay Devgn standing around 25 meters in my head because he was busy and I continued talking to my friends, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, “Aap film se nikal jaaye, hum aapko nikal rahe hai.”
Vijay Raaz said he was removed just 30 minutes after entering the set Sardar’s son 2. He added, “The only misbehavior on my part is that I didn’t greet Ajay Devgn sir. I didn’t even meet the crew and these are the only people I interacted with. I was removed from the film after 30 minutes. I can’t get to the sets because I didn’t greet Ajay Devgn. These are powerful people, and there is no talk of abuse at all.”
Secondly Sardar’s son 2Co-producer Kumar Mangat Pathak told the same portal that Vijay Raaz was fired for his behaviour, which included demanding bigger rooms and overcharging spot boys. He said, “Yes, it is true that we have removed Vijay Raaz from the film because of his behaviour. He demanded bigger rooms and a vanity van and also overcharged us for spot boys. In fact, his spot boy was being paid Rs 20,000 per night which is more than any big actor. Britain is an expensive place, and everyone got standard rooms during the shoot, but he insisted on premium suites.”
The producer said, “When we tried to explain the cost scenario to him, he refused to understand and spoke rudely. His constant response was, ‘Aap logo ne mujhe approach kiya, main kaunsa saamne se Aya kaam maangne’ (You approached me When did I come to you to ask for a job?) Although we tried to accommodate all his demands, his demands never ended How can we do it When the EP (Executive Producer) said no, we decided to remove him from the film.
Reacting to Vijay Raaz’s statement about Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat Pathak added, “Ajay Devgn is not someone who waits to greet people. He always likes to be surrounded by creative people and treats everyone with respect. The story of him being removed for not greeting Ajay Devgn is wrong. We suffer atleast 2 million rupees loss from the film and we wouldn’t take such a step on small things. His behavior was a big concern and there is no place for disrespect on the sets of our film as we work like a family. He kept telling all our EPs and even me that he doesn’t need to do anything Sardar’s son 2and he only did it because we approached him. He kept asking for bigger rooms, even though he knew that rooms cost a bomb in the UK. He refused to cooperate. Attitude is a problem and we didn’t even want to be associated with someone with that mentality.
Vijay Raaz has been replaced by Sanjay Mishra, confirmed Kumar Mangat Pathak.
