Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, until recently known as the Galaxy Z Fold Slim or Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, will in fact support the S Pen stylus, according to the latest rumors.
This contradicts a previous rumor that it wouldn’t support Samsung’s stylus. Of course, we can’t vouch for the veracity of any of these rumors, so take them with a grain of salt.
It’s important to note that if a phone supports the S Pen, it doesn’t mean it will have a dedicated internal slot for the stylus, only that it will be able to be used on the device, just like the Galaxy Z Fold6.
Unfortunately, there just isn’t enough space in a foldable phone to integrate the S Pen the way the S24 Ultra does. Or rather, if it did, either the battery capacity would drop significantly, or the phone would increase in size significantly – or both.
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will have a 200MP main camera, and will be just 4.9mm thin when unfolded and 10.6mm thick when folded. Its internal screen will be 8″ and the external display will be 6.5″.
