We all love cake, don’t we?
A delightful dessert is suitable for any celebration, be it a birthday party or a wedding. However, the slightly less enjoyable part usually comes after blowing out the candles, when each guest is waiting for their share of the cake.
And we all know it can be slow to cut… But guess what, there’s a technique you wish you knew sooner that can be a game changer for any event!
On X, formerly known as Twitter, the viral account Today Years Old, with a following of over a million users, revealed a cutting-edge cake-serving hack.
So have you ever heard of this innovative method?
The post asked the question: “How old were you when you found this?” The fascinating caption was accompanied by a video in which partygoers immerse themselves with glasses of wine to neatly take slices of cake.
Not only does this approach look stylish, but it also leaves almost no annoying crumbs behind. And you don’t need cutlery.
Basically, you’ll just be able to scoop up your cake segment without knives or servers (although you might still want a fork after digging in). Since its upload on August 13, the clip has collected more than 289,700 views.
One user exclaimed: “Yeah, definitely old today. Looks more like a hacker.”
And the other was already planning ahead, saying: “Cheers for this, try next time!” Meanwhile, the third just said, “Today.”
Still, some culinary friends weren’t quite sold on the gimmick, with one person stating, “I’ve been doing this since I was a kid, scooping by hand!”
Additionally, another skeptic commented, “This is so stupid. If someone tried to pull this at my party, I’d make them do the dishes.”
Meanwhile, one mom’s ingenious cake cutting gives you 32 slices for the price of one. User “Muddle Through Mummy” offered her followers a simple way to divide a cake designed for 14 people into 32 equal parts – but still enough to satisfy the hunger of the youngsters.
