It’s a dark, dark world out there, and Kareena Kapoor is very much a part of it. This is the trailer of his upcoming movie The Buckingham Murders is about. The film directed by Hansal Mehta is a classic case of a wild thriller. Kareena Kapoor plays a detective named Jasmeet Bamra aka Jass who investigates the case of the death of a young man. “Where were you on November 14th,” he asks the first suspect, then the second and third, then someone. There are multiple suspects, one innocent victim whose life is at stake, and a “volatile neighborhood.”

A teenager has been arrested in Wycombe in connection with the incident. However, Kareena Kapoor is convinced that there is much more to this complex case than meets the eye. It turns out that everyone is a suspect. Then he decides to delve deeper into his research and interrogates the family of the dead young man. In a shocking turn of events, she finds out that she has been adopted. Cue unrest and communal excitement. Ranveer Brar, who is one of the prime suspects, keeps crossing Kareena’s paths. The titans of three different genres unite in this amazing thriller. Kareena Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor and Hansal Mehta have co-produced the project. Ektaa Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have previously collaborated in e.g Veere Di Wedding and Crew – both hits. The film also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar and Keith Allen.

The film premiered at several film festivals and received huge acclaim at the BFI London Film Festival 2023 and the 2023 Mumbai Film Festival. It opens exclusively in cinemas on September 13.
