This is the Honor MagicPad 2 12.3, which made its global debut at IFA 2024 just a few moments ago. The tablet is priced at €599/£499 and is available now, and for that price you get a sleek machine with excellent multimedia credentials.
The tablet comes with a 66W charger and a USB cable, which in itself is a solid start.
This tablet’s predecessor had a slightly larger 13-inch display, but the MagicPad 2 switches to an OLED panel with the same 144Hz refresh rate. The panel has beautiful visuals and is very bright, reaching a maximum of 1600 nits!
To fully utilize the MatePad 2 12.3’s potential, you can equip it with the optional Magic Pencil 3 and Smart Bluetooth Keyboard. What’s more, Honor is giving the keyboard, Pencil, and Earbuds X6 for free with the tablet to those who pre-order now.
This is a solid offering that gives you a fully functional package at a reasonable price.
The keyboard is great, with solid key travel and well-spaced keys. However, it lacks a touchpad and is attached the old-fashioned way – without magnets.
The Pencil 3 has a 2ms input latency, supports 4,096 pressure levels, and attaches magnetically to the top of the tablet, where it also charges wirelessly.
It has a comfortable size and weighs 17.4 g.
The Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 is available to order today in white or black, priced at €599/£499. The tablet will start shipping on October 1.
