Kill – It took three days of matches for the Bundesliga title holders FC Bayern to get back on top. The Munich team went one better with a 6-1 win over newly promoted Holstein Kiel. Three wins in three games – New coach Vincent Kompany’s record has been impeccable so far.

Jamal Musiala, substitute Michael Olisse and striker Harry Kane scored three goals in a brilliant and relaxed success as Bayern picked up their first points in their first appearance in Schleswig-Holstein. Musiala’s challenge also led to an own goal by Kiel’s Nicolai Lemberg. Armin Gigovic headed home a celebration goal in front of 15,034 fans (82′).

FC Bayern’s performance:

Manuel Neuer – Note 3: The captain with a long drive that started a quick 1-0. He was powerless in the second half of 1:5 and was lucky to have two hits on the crossbar. A new Bundesliga record. The 38-year-old has scored three goals at least once against 37 Bundesliga teams in Kiel. Lothar Matthäus and Mirko Votava have won against 36 opponents in league history.

Sasha Boy – Note 3: The Frenchman, who signed for €30 million from Galatasaray Istanbul in January, played as a right-back, just like he did at Wolfsburg. He slipped and tripped a few times. Otherwise, he had good defensive positioning despite not being asked to do much. Very variable in the passing game, often going forward. Down in the 64th minute.

DAYOT Upamecano – Note 3: The second Frenchman in the back four. A regular in the central defense under Kompany. He played his role routinely and confidently. Training session far north. Kiel goalkeeper Weiner saved his header.

Kim Min-jae – Note 3: Kim had to play 90 minutes twice in the World Cup qualifiers in his home country of Korea and Oman over the course of a week, but he played as a left-back. He was determined and confident, and only once surprised his team when he passed the ball dangerously to Upamecano through his own penalty area.

Raphael Guerreiro – Note 3: In the match against Freiburg (2-0), he was given priority in the left-back position over Davies, who was in the US for two test matches against Canada. Always playful and hard-working. Good sense of space. In the 64th minute, he had to give way to Davies.

Kimmich is in control as a six-man while Palhinha celebrates his debut in the starting XI.

Joshua Kimmich – Note 2: In the national team, he played as a right-back under Julian Nagelsmann and as a defensive midfielder at Bayern under Kompany. He controlled everything and was able to force the ball and the opponents to pass it through with clever passes.

JOAO PALHINHA – Note 2: The summer transfer from Fulham FC, worth €51 million, celebrated his starting debut. Supported in the center, Kimmich was immediately a source of stability in possession, smoothly pressing the ball and making many tackles. He received a completely unnecessary yellow card when the score was 5-0 (82′).

JAMAL MUSIALA – Note 2: 1-0 in 14 seconds – Bayern’s third-fastest Bundesliga goal (Lothar Matthaus in 13 seconds in April 1986 and Elberg in 11 seconds in January 1998). Remberg beat two Kielers on the baseline, dribbled hard towards his own goal, 3-0, then manipulated a pass in front of the goal. 45 minutes was enough, rest after the break.

21-year-old Jamal Musiala is already an indispensable player for FC Bayern.

Serge Gnabry – Note 3: He was allowed to start again as a right winger and collected an assist point. However, he did not make full use of his (extraordinary) freedom and missed an early 4-0 lead. Unfortunately in the 25th minute: a volley from behind hit the post. He was allowed to rest during the break.

KINGSLEY COMAN – Note 3: He was expected to be sold in the summer transfer window but it never happened and he was allowed to start at Kiel as a left winger instead of Olisse. He continued to make quick runs towards the opposition but could not assert himself as Gnabry did on the right. The job was done in 76 minutes.

Kane scores hat-trick, Olise scores first Bundesliga goal

Harry Kane – Note 1: Ice cold! Two goals and an assist for the centre-forward, who made his 100th international appearance (68 goals) for England this week. A headed assist for Musiala’s lightning lead, then a confident goal to make it 2-0, 4-0. A penalty to make it 6-1. Kane has now scored against all 18 Bundesliga teams and has four goals in three league games.

Michael Olise – Note 2: The €53m Crystal Palace purchase celebrated his France debut with two appearances during the international break and only featured in the second half at the Kiel Stadium, where he easily made it 5-0 with a right-footed strike.

Thomas Muller – Note 3: Bayern veteran, who won his 711th tournament record. He came in for Musiala in the second half. He ran a lot and was very busy in a Müller-like manner. His direct shot from the right went far over the goal.

Alphonso Davis – Note 3: From the 64th minute, left-back Guerreiro was substituted in a 1v1 position change. Weiner was only able to block the Canadian’s powerful right-footed shot past Olysee.

KONRAD LAIMER – Note 3: The Austrian, who recently played twice for his country under Bayern boss Ralf Rangnick, came on as the new right-back in the 64th minute for Boy. A bit of a kick in a competitive situation.

MATHYS PHONE – NO NOTES: However, there was no return of Leroy Sane, who had joined the squad for the first time but was warming up. Frenchman Tell was allowed to intervene slightly from the 76th minute as a replacement for Coman on the left wing. There was no big scene.
