Here’s how shops are helping fight the impact of flooding

In response to the floods that hit southern Poland, retail chains, such as those associated with the Polish Trade and Distribution Organization, took a number of measures to help the communities affected by the natural disaster. Both residents and chain employees from the flooded areas received support.

Assistance for flood areas

The store has a special aid budget for ad hoc support in its region. – The money is intended for the purchase of materials needed to eliminate the effects of natural disasters – says Renata Juszkiewicz, president of POHiD. – The trading outlet maintains a full inventory to provide products for the most urgent needs on an ongoing basis and ensure continuity of supply. The company decided to temporarily freeze prices for the most sought-after products to combat the effects of the flood. These prices will not increase.
