“If LGBT people sang there, it would of course be hate speech, but when it comes to Law and Justice, you can sing freely,” emphasized Dorota Łosiewicz, publicist of “Salon Dziennikarski”, a joint news program of the wPolityce.pl portal and Radio Warszawa, broadcast on television in Poland.
During Campus Polska, there were shouts of “Go PiS”. It all happened during a silent disco party, during which the participants – as you might guess – listened to a song with these words. This situation was commented on by Dorota Łosiewicz, publicist, Stanisław Janecki, weekly “Sieci”, Goran Andrijanić, publicist, and Piotr Semka, weekly “Do Rzeczy”.

““Hate speech works one way.”
The current ruling coalition is creating its own successors, that is obvious, but this hate speech, which we so often talk about in the public space, suddenly ended up working only in one direction. If LGBT people sang there, it would obviously be hate speech, but when it comes to law and justice, you can sing whatever you want. Rafał Trzaskowski announced something like this during the campaign
– observed Dorota Łosiewicz.
There are two processes going on here. The first is bloodlust. Many people, including young supporters of the December 13 Coalition, are thirsty for blood, i.e. for physical violence against a political opponent, and these emotions have grown to such an extent that it was decided to release them with these chants. The second process is cultural, i.e. Krzysztof Śmieszek commented on it as a cultural achievement. I commented that so much culture, so many achievements. This is an attempt to ennoble rudeness.
– emphasized Stanisław Janecki.
This is a really difficult thing. What Śmieszek says is an illustration of this one-sidedness. Swearing is tolerated
– said Goran Andrijanić.
Donald Tusk issued a famous tweet commenting on this vulgar disco. He summed it up with this stupid phrase: anyone can sing. This is a good example of the authorization of this aggression and rudeness by the highest factor, that is, the leader of the Civic Platform camp, and it is worth remembering situations like this.
– emphasized Pyotr Semka.
