Halle Berry and Mark Wahlberg to NDTV on filming Union: ‘A real out-of-body experience’

New Delhi:

Unionstarring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry, debuts on Netflix on August 16. The film directed by Julian Farino tells the love story of two estranged high school sweethearts. In a unique interaction with NDTV, the two lead actors shared BTS tidbits from the film. When asked if their characters in the film were inspired by their real-life experiences, Mark said: “In real life, it’s very realistic that someone would wait 25 years to make a connection if they messed it up the first time and waited there in the hope that he walked back through that door. And then the first time I left the U.S. and I left my neighborhood, I went to London and it was a real culture shock I was supposed to be there for two weeks, but I only got through two days, but I didn’t have to do the things that my character does. But yeah, there are a lot of things , that I could relate to in real life. I always find some kind of personal connection to the roles I play.”

Halle Berry talked about the most challenging scene she had to film Union. The actor said: “I would probably say the scene where I had to deal with three men at once. I love those scenes, but they’re the scenes where you spend a little more time. The timing of every move is very important when you’re coming at you from different directions. You don’t want to hurt anybody that was probably something really challenging for me.”

When asked about the name of the movie Halle won the Oscar, Mark answered correctly:Monster’s BallNext, she was asked about her co-star’s Instagram followers, to which she said, “I don’t know, but he should have the most of anyone in the world.”
