Green Youth NRW officials also resigned from the party

As the fourth state executive of the Green Youth, those from North Rhine-Westphalia have announced that they will leave the party. The governing body announced in a press release that all eight board members will not seek re-election at the next state general meeting. The Green Party does not implement left-wing policies as needed – “too often making poor compromises and not clearly advocating for social improvement,” is the rationale behind the policy. “We no longer want to be stuck with policies that we consider to be wrong.”

Last week, the federal executive board of Green Youth announced its withdrawal from the party, followed by the executive boards of youth organizations in Bavaria, Rhineland-Palatinate and Lower Saxony. The current federal executive council wants to establish a new left-wing movement.
