Google launched the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold last month, and today, all of those devices are receiving their first software update. It’s the September update, which will hit all Pixel devices that Google still supports. And it’s not Android 15, in case you were wondering.
While it fixes security flaws for everyone, this update also adds a specific bug fix for the Pixel 9 family. This will improve Wi-Fi stability and performance “under certain conditions,” Google says, without going into detail.
As is typical with Google software rollouts, expect it to take days, if not weeks, to fully cover all supported devices. When your Pixel 9 device has the latest software, it will show up as version AD1A.240905.004.
