A few days ago, Google introduced the Pixel Watch 3 with support for offline Google Maps, and now the feature is also available for other Wear OS smartwatches.
With offline Google Maps, users can navigate using their smartwatch even when it does not have an active internet connection or is connected to a smartphone with internet access.
This feature has been available since beta version 11.140.0701. in the Google Maps app for Wear OS on Pixel Watch 2 and should be rolling out to other Wear OS watches soon.
After updating Google Maps to beta version 11.140.0701.W, you will see a new “Offline Maps” page above the “Settings” option. The watch app automatically downloads a map of your area while syncing other offline areas from your connected smartphone.

Additionally, it syncs offline maps when the smartwatch is connected to Wi-Fi and charging, and when you’re offline, it displays a cloud icon next to the time on the map.
