Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Fold6 with One UI 6.1.1, and the interface allows Gemini to work in split-screen mode. At the time, it was the only phone and user interface that offered this AI assistant feature, but Google finally decided to expand the service to other large-screen Android devices.

Multiple sources have revealed that the feature is available on Galaxy Tab tablets, older Galaxy Z Fold devices, Google Pixel tablets and Fold devices. Essentially, this is an option to allow the application to run in a floating window, provided the interface has this feature.

Tablets and foldables put Gemini in a floating window with a rudder to move it around the screen. Users can ask Gemini about the screen in the background, but another major AI function is exploring a topic in a video/text that is in another part of the screen.
