Free abortions and vasectomies provided by Planned Parenthood will be available at the Democratic National Convention. The offer is hugely popular, with a line already forming to sign up. Abortion is becoming an increasingly important issue in the US presidential campaign, and a majority of Americans believe it should be legal.
Planned Parenthood is offering more than a free T-shirt or bumper sticker at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) next week — the organization will offer free vasectomies (spermatic cord cutting), abortions and so-called emergency contraception.
Planned Parenthood is an American nonprofit that describes itself as a “protector of reproductive rights.” The organization has been controversial since its inception, but criticism has intensified particularly recently when recordings emerged showing employees negotiating organ trade.
Planned Parenthood Great Rivers of St. Louis announced in a post on Platform X that a bus offering free services would be coming to Chicago for the DNC on August 19 and 20.
Here we go, Chicago! Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop with @ChiAbortionFund & @TheWienerCircle August 19-20 offering FREE vasectomies and medication abortions
— we read in the organization’s post.
Huge interest
Planned Parenthood realized there was a waiting list for vasectomies during its time at the convention.
We currently have a waiting list for free vasectomies.

Campaign theme
Democrats have made the abortion issue a central issue in their national campaigns this year, threatening that Republican control of Congress, combined with four more years in the White House for former President Trump, would mean a nationwide ban.
Since Roe v. Wade was overturned and Vice President Kamala Harris stepped in to replace President Biden, the Democratic Party has doubled down on its rhetoric about “a woman’s right to choose.”
American humor
A Quinnipiac University poll released in April revealed insights into Americans’ views on abortion that may surprise voters.
According to the poll, a record number of Americans (66%) now support legal abortion in some or all cases, the highest level of support ever recorded by the poll in its two-decade history.
Thirty-four percent of respondents said abortion should be legal in all cases, while 32 percent concluded it should be legal in most cases.
The Republican Position
Ahead of the Republican National Convention, Trump held a closed meeting to develop the GOP platform and softened the party’s once-staunch opposition to abortion.
We believe that the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution guarantees that no person shall be denied life or liberty without due process, and therefore states have the freedom to pass laws that protect these rights.
– we read in the project.
But for the first time in 40 years, the document does not mention the federal abortion ban, which a Republican presidential candidate opposes.
Instead, the new platform emphasizes:
We will oppose late-term abortion, while supporting mothers and policies that promote prenatal care, access to birth control, and in vitro fertilization (fertility treatment).
The party’s stance has been criticised by some pro-life groups, including the Family Research Council, whose chairman Tony Perkins expressed concern that the party was moving away from “protecting children from the moment of conception”.
I fear that the Republican Party is moving away from its strong and ultimate goal of protecting children from the moment of conception.
Perkins wrote in a social media post.
Planned Parenthood, the DNC and Harris’ campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
