Former President Donald Trump lost it to Kamala Harris in a chaotic Fox News phone interview that ended in an awkward moment Thursday night, the final night of the Democratic National Convention.
“He’s going to raise taxes four to five times what people and businesses are paying right now,” Trump said of the vice president as he was interrupted by the votes, apparently from someone pressing buttons on his phone.
The Republican nominee posted Harris’ acceptance speech and asked if the Democratic nominee was talking about him.
He then contacted a conservative network where he dismissed Harris’ poll numbers.
“There’s been tremendous traction and momentum with women voters, he’s trying to pull the youth vote, the Hispanic vote, the black vote back in his direction,” said Fox News’ Martha MacCallum. “What are you going to do? What is your strategy to rebuild the momentum you had with those voters?”
“No, he’s not successful. I’m successful,” Trump declared his support among women and blacks and Hispanics.
Host Bret Baier tried to interject as time ran out before Greg Gutfeld’s show began. But Trump went on to rant about Democrats throwing President Joe Biden “out of the party.”
“And that’s why we saw a different night tonight,” MacCallum said as he tried to wrap him up.
“They did the same thing they did to RFK,” Trump said.
“Mr. President, thank you very much,” Baier added.
“OK, thank you very much,” Trump said as the call ended quickly, before the hosts threw a punch at Gutfeld.
At the beginning of his late-night show, Gutfeld hinted at the quick conclusion of the interview.
“It wasn’t my fault, Donald Trump,” she said.
This is possibly the funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
