Samsung still makes some of the most popular TVs on the planet, but if you want your living space to be screen-free, there’s another way to watch content in sharp 4K resolution. The Korean tech giant has just unveiled its latest and greatest ultra-short-throw projectors at the IFA tech show in Berlin, which sit neatly next to walls and help them blend into your surroundings. In fact, with a sleek new compact design and Kvadrat’s premium fabric finish, it should suit even the most style-conscious homes.
When it’s time to have a drink or a Hollywood movie, the projectors come to life and can send an image of up to 130 inches onto the walls.
Premiere 9 and Premiere 7 both offer 4K visuals and support HDR10+ for clear and vivid images. Samsung also promises that you will get sharp footage even in a bright environment.
They come with features like AI Upscaling and Vision Booster technology to improve the overall experience, and even have built-in speakers with Dolby Atmos.
This should mean you get a cinema-style experience without the need for additional speakers in the room.
The Premiere 9 features 40W 2.2.2-channel upward-firing speakers, while the Premiere 7 features 30W 2.2-channel speakers that deliver expansive sound.
There’s plenty to watch as they run Samsung Tizen OS, which offers quick access to premium apps like Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+.
Also included is Samsung TV Plus, which includes unlimited free content to watch.
Although Premiere is not used as a fully cinematic projector, it guarantees convenience and entertainment for all consumers as a smart speaker with hands-free voice control and various music applications.
“The Premiere Series aims to redefine the premium home theater experience by combining our advanced laser technology with state-of-the-art, user-friendly features that deliver stunning picture quality and immersive sound,” said Cheolgi Kim, Vice President of Visual Display Business Samsung Electronics. “As we continue to innovate, we envision a future where our products transform everyday living spaces into immersive entertainment centers and set new standards for home entertainment.”
Everything looks very impressive, but the only thing that might let you down is the price. Premiere 9 is available now and will set you back a whopping £5,999.
Premiere 7 will be available in the UK in October.
