The upcoming iPhone 16 Pro series will be manufactured in India, marking the first time that Apple’s Pro iPhone is being manufactured outside of China. Foxconn India will begin production of the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max at its facilities in India within weeks of their launch, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

Apple has been assembling iPhones in India for the past seven years, and according to a report earlier this year, India accounts for 14% of total iPhone production. That number is expected to rise to 25% next year. Rumors also suggest that Apple will start producing the iPhone 17 exclusively in India.
