In the city of Kałków, water that flooded a local road swept a passenger car and its driver to the side of the road. As the duty officer of the Opole State Fire Service told PAP, the woman managed to be saved.
The incident occurred on Saturday. In the town of Kałków, a passenger car was driving on a local road in a place where flood waters had flooded the road. At one point, the car was swept to the side of the flooded road. Only part of the cabin protruded above the water level, where the driver was trapped.
Fortunately, the incident occurred close to the buildings. A rescue operation was carried out immediately. The frightened but healthy driver was pulled out of the vehicle.
