The fire department responded to a fire at a pottery factory in Wachtberg-Adendorf on Tuesday. For reasons that are still unclear, a large fire broke out in the oven at around 4 p.m.

As Michael Rock, spokesman for the Wachtberg Fire Department, explained, approximately 40 emergency services were on the scene with, among other things, a revolving ladder to extinguish the fire. Among other things, they opened the roof to extinguish any embers. No one was injured during the operation.

Erhard-Fischer-Straße and Eifelstraße were completely closed for the duration of the operation. Motorists had to avoid the roads.
