A female tourist was stabbed out of her tongue by her ‘Tinder lover’ on the tropical island of Mauritius ‘so she couldn’t call for help’.
A post-mortem examination revealed that university teacher Zaliya Shamigulova, 29, had multiple wounds to her chest.
But it was found that his tongue and throat had been cut from his mutilated body, which was found naked in a shallow grave.
The arrested suspect, Puryavirsingh Sundur, 29, an IT engineer from Mauritius, met the tourist through the dating app Tinder, according to Russian reports.
He “confessed” to killing the woman and explained how he had stabbed and mutilated the tourist, according to law enforcement sources.

The police have arrested 29-year-old Puryavirsingh Sundur as a suspect in Shamigulova’s murder.

According to local media, detectives are still searching for missing body parts and also his clothes.
Despite this, a funeral was held for the tragic tourist before his body was due to be returned to Russia.
Detectives suspect that the killer had intended to cut up her body, but buried it in a makeshift grave on the island.
The suspect was said to have led police to a grave in La Marie, a residential area.
He confessed to the murder after her blood was found in his car and claimed to have learned she had been unfaithful to him.
He was last seen wearing a blue Toyota in a video.
That was the last time he was seen alive and was reported missing by a female travel companion.
His relatives in Russia allegedly received messages from him saying that he had decided to disappear and not contact her.
One report said the suspect “went to take a Russian woman sightseeing on the island, but in a fit of jealous rage he pulled out a knife and brutally killed his lover before stripping her and burying her body.”
The deceased woman had recently posted on her holiday in Mauritius that she was getting lucky every day.
He had been a torch bearer before the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
He was a university teacher from Chelyabinsk in the Urals.
He was scheduled to travel to Madagascar on September 1.
It is believed that Ms Shamigulova, pictured on a fishing boat, met her alleged killer after being introduced to her on the internet dating app Tinder.
