Farewell to Bonn University Hospital

The motto is “Thank you very much”. It could also be “Thank you from many people”. The “thank you ceremony with musical accompaniment and greetings from prominent figures” to say goodbye to Professor Wolfgang Holzgreve, medical director and chairman of the board of the University Hospital Bonn (UKB), lasted more than four hours on Friday – not including the reception that followed. This shows how connected the doctor is not only in science and politics, but also in the city. There was not enough time to list all the achievements and projects of the outgoing clinic director, although the speakers made a real effort. Holzgreve was familiar with many of them, his best friend from his student days played the violin, and more than 400 guests listened.
