The latest case is a 31-year-old woman, from Cícero Dantas, whose diagnosis was confirmed on Wednesday, 25. She was transferred to Salvador in early September and remains hospitalized in Couto Maia. The other two patients in the ICU are a 25-year-old man, from Senhor do Bonfim, and another 39-year-old man, from Campo Formoso.
They all consumed chicken mortadella, and the Bahia Health Department (Sesab) is investigating the possibility that the product caused the outbreak in the state.
