Eintracht Frankfurt are concerned about the use of defensive chief Robin Koch ahead of the start of the Europa League. The 28-year-old international was absent from the Bundesliga club’s final training session for the home game against Czech side Viktoria Pilsen on Thursday (9 p.m./RTL).

According to the club, Koch only completed individual training. The reason was not initially disclosed. Koch’s planned participation in a press conference at noon (13.30) was canceled.

Midfielder Mario Götze is back in team training. The 2014 world champion missed Saturday’s Bundesliga clash against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2-0) due to an infection. It is unclear whether the 32-year-old is back in contention for the game against Pilsen.
