Dunelm’s £25 electric heater “heats up super fast” and costs 19p an hour

When the cold sets in, the struggle to turn on the heating becomes a problem, especially as electricity bills are expected to rise from October. Many may choose not to turn it on to avoid higher costs.

Awaiting Ofgem’s upcoming price cap hike, Britons are looking for cost savings to stay firmly indoors. Fortunately, Dunelm offers a frugal alternative that won’t break the bank.

The retailer has reduced the price of the 650W 5 Fin Oil Filled Radiator to £25 and customers say it warms rooms quickly without central heating. This mini radiator from Dunelm has thermostatic controls and has amassed a number of five-star ratings.

Consumers suggest that this gadget makes a big difference in their battle against the cold and rising energy costs. Dunelm’s claim that the device operates at less than 19 p/h according to current energy prices is a significant draw for buyers.

With its affordability, it makes sense to heat the space sufficiently, which is a cheaper alternative to activating the home’s heating system. One buyer glowingly remarked: “This looks like such a small unit, you’ll be amazed how good it will be – no need to worry! Heat output for the average bedroom, playroom, den or home office is superb.”

Another customer praised the compact yet powerful device, saying it “really warms” and helps “take the edge off” on crisp winter mornings. A third reviewer commented: “Such an efficient heater for its size. Great additional heat source and the Smart Meter is efficient too!” Vicky agreed with his thoughts: “Lightweight, suitable for a small room, heats up very quickly, easy to move with the handle. .”

In addition to space heating, one savvy shopper found another use for the heater, revealing: “I bought this for the winter months under the indoor fan because of its small size. It does a great job and is just the right size to make a big difference in drying times.”

However, not all feedback was glowing. A disgruntled user reported that it “works fine, but only if you sit next to it”, while someone else noted that it “could do with a longer plug”.
