Romania borders Ukraine for approximately 650 km. In recent months, there have been several situations where, during strikes in southern Ukraine, debris from Russian drones fell on the country, most of which were shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.

The drone allegedly violated Romanian airspace on September 8

On September 8, Romania and Latvia reported that during Russian air strikes on Ukraine, Russian drones violated their airspace.

Poland also warned of possible airspace violations by Russian drones – the incident allegedly occurred on August 26, and the drone allegedly flew up to 25 km into Polish territory. However, after searching for approximately 200 km2 no trace of the drone was found – the army reported that the radar probably detected something that was a meteorological phenomenon.

Three people were killed and 14 injured in the attack on Izmail, the Odessa regional prosecutor’s office reported Friday morning. The Ukrainian Air Force reported that 24 of the 32 drones Russia used in the attack were shot down over Ukraine during the night.
