Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Finance and Regional Policy, spoke out on Polsat News against the “Na Start” loan program promoted by PO and PSL. “This solution is bad. This can be seen from the data: when such a program is introduced, prices rise. So what if the loan percentage is lower, if the loan is higher and the profit is in the hands of banks and developers?” Pełczyńska-Nałęcz argued.
In my opinion and in the belief of Poland 2050, first of all, we need to increase the supply of apartments
– she emphasized Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz.
What is the problem with the “Na Start” loan, a zero percent loan – the problem is, and it is visible from the data, that when this program was introduced [zapewne chodzi o podobny program wprowadzony przez PiS, „Bezpieczny kredyt 2 proc.” – przyp. red.]apartment prices went up. As a result, all those who did not receive this loan had to pay more. Those who did get this loan had to take out a larger loan – so what if the loan percentage was lower, if the loan itself was larger in the end and the profit went mainly to the banks for loans and to the developers for housing costs?
– explained the Minister of Funds and Regional Policy.
“There is a sense of enormous social injustice.”
Pełczyńska-Nałęcz responded to the comment by presenter Marcin Fijołek that the Minister of Development and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk did not share her position, pointing out that apartment prices during the “Safe Credit 2%” program were in force; they increased simply because there was inflation.
I have concrete data that shows when this project was launched, apartment prices are rising. Today we believe that this solution is bad. (…) Would people who can afford a normal loan really benefit from state subsidies for the loan? Some should benefit, while others have already taken out a commercial loan and have to pay it back. There is also a feeling of huge social injustice, of how some people are privileged and others are not.
– she said.
As you can see, the number of issues on which the parties that make up Donald Tusk’s coalition have completely different opinions is increasing. It is worth noting that not only Poland 2050, but also the Left, criticizes the “Na Start” loan program.
