The CDU parliamentary group sees the city government’s false statements about the standard for bicycle road markings in Bonn as a violation of the official duties of the higher authorities. Therefore, according to its own statement on Wednesday, it has filed a supervisory complaint against Mayor Katja Dörner with the Cologne district government and against city planning officer Helmut Wiesner with the mayor. In addition, CDU parliamentary group chairman Guido Déus announced a motion at the city council meeting on Thursday, September 26, to involve the Audit Office (RPA) “to transparently clarify non-information or false information on the issue of coordinating red bicycle road markings with the district government”.
