An accident involving the Coritiba Crocodiles American football team bus left at least three people dead and six injured. The vehicle overturned, this Saturday morning (21), in Serra das Araras, in PiraĆ­, Rio de Janeiro state.

The team left Curitiba for Rio de Janeiro, where they were to face Flamengo Imperadores this Saturday afternoon. The match would have been valid for the Brazilian sports championship. The game has been canceled.

According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), about 40 passengers were on board the bus. The fatal victims were three men aged 20, 35 and 40.

Concessionaire CCR RioSP, which manages Via Dutra, provided treatment to the injured, along with a team from the Fire Department. The rescued victims were taken to a hospital in the area. There was no information on their health conditions.
