Collapse leaves 2 Gambusinos dead at Santa Bárbara mine

This Friday afternoon, the collapse of the “Clines” mine in Santa Bárbara left several Gambusinos trapped. During the rescue work, 2 of them were brought out dead.

The incident was recorded this Friday afternoon, when the emergency system reported a collapse in the mine, at level 4 where witnesses said there were about 4 gamusinos trying to steal materials.

The authorities immediately went to the scene and indeed found the collapse.

Soon after, workers from the mine and relatives of the trapped Gambusinos began arriving to try to rescue them. After about an hour of work, they unfortunately found two bodies among them that have not yet been identified.

Currently, a major operation is underway to remove rocks and soil from access to the fourth level. There is great sadness and regret for Gambusino’s relatives.
