Governor Claudio Castro voted in the 2024 elections at around 8:30 am on Sunday (6), at the Colegio Municipal Golda Meir, in Barra da Tijuca, in the Western Region.

Castro stated that the police have been strengthened with the aim of ensuring the safety of citizens who will vote.

“I have deployed all police forces on the streets since Friday. The governor confirmed that I spoke with the TRE Chairman to ensure clean, orderly and peaceful elections.

The Governor of Rio de Janeiro also encouraged residents to go to the polls and stressed the importance of voting in shaping the political future of the state.

“Let people leave their homes and perform their civic obligations with peace of mind.”

Claudio Castro also stated that he is closely following the election campaigns in all municipalities of the state.
