There is currently no way to pass the bike path on the John J. McCloy Bank right next to the Mehlem Ferry. Red and white markers block the area, and signs say pedestrian traffic is also prohibited. At first glance, it’s not clear exactly what’s going on, since there’s no visible construction or anything like that on the ground. But there’s a lot going on behind the scenes.
