Chopin Airport – a record month and new connections to the Middle East

Last month, more than 1.38 million people traveled from Chopin Airport using Schengen traffic, and 793,000 within the non-Schengen area. The number of travelers who checked in for domestic flights in August was just over 144,000.

The most popular destinations chosen by passengers from the capital’s airport were London, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt and Copenhagen. In the case of charter cruises, the most popular were Antalya, Marsa Alam, Burgas, Rhodes and Hurghada.

Chopin Airport invests in new technologies

In the coming months, Chopin Airport will implement important technological solutions that will speed up the passenger journey to the plane. – After the end of the summer, we will start installing self-service gates at the plane exits, i.e. the so-called self-boarding gate. We are also working on implementing automatic baggage drop-off stations and purchasing 3D scanners that will speed up security checks. These innovations will improve the safety and comfort of our passengers, Ilków assures.
