As Piotr Kaniowski from the C+ press office tells Wirtualnemedia.pl, transmission Canal+ 4K Ultra HD will be paused on select days when the platform will broadcast Champions League matches. This was first reported by the press website. A few weeks ago, Canal+ acquired the rights to the top football competitions for the next three seasons.
Canal+ limits two channels
Kaniowski explains that the decision is related to the proper use of satellite capacity. As we reported a few days ago, Canal+ Polska launched four new channels on Tuesday that will show Champions League matches: Canal+ Extra 1, Canal+ Extra 2, Canal+ Extra 3 and Canal+ Extra 4.

The restriction also applies to another channel. As Kaniowski told us: “such broadcast intervals are also planned for teleTOON+“. It is a broadcaster that transmits children’s content.
The additional event channels Canal+ Ekstra 5, Canal+ Ekstra 6 and Canal+ Ekstra 7 will in turn be launched during the Champions League matches, probably from the second half of September this year, when the group stage of this competition begins.
