23 people were injured in a collision between a bus and a car in Essen, four of whom were taken to hospital. A police spokesman said 19 people were treated at the scene. According to information, the car and a shuttle bus collided with visitors to the RÜ Oktoberfest, which was taking place in the grounds of Essen/Mülheim Airport, at a traffic light intersection. One of the vehicles allegedly ran a red light, the spokesman said. Further details about the cause of the accident, the driver of the vehicle and the injured were not initially known.
