If you’re after peas and peas for your next seaside trip, Betway has highlighted the 12 best fish and chip places to visit in the UK.
The ranking of these restaurants was determined by special index points, which took into account Instagram hashtags and views as well as Tripadvisor reviews. The lower the index point, the higher the store’s ranking.
Topping the list is the Oban Seafood Hut in Oban, Scotland. Known for its exceptional seafood on the West Coast, the popular spot known for its fast-food fish and chips took first place.
The East Coast chippy, another charming Scottish gem, followed close behind in third.
In second place is Sole Bay Fish Company in Southwold, Norwich. This beloved establishment is known for its fresh, high-quality and sustainably sourced seafood.
Trenchers, based in the picturesque seaside town of Whitby, came fourth thanks to its local popularity and proximity to the scenic North York Moors.
Another Whitby favorite, the Magpie Café is also known for its famous fish and chips throughout Yorkshire.
Mackerel Sky Seafood Bar in Penzance also shared fourth place, serving highly recommended seafood in one of Cornwall’s most popular fishing villages.
Also on the list is Noah’s in Bristol, which offers lovely river views with an excellent meal.
