Last weekend, many customers at Biedronka (Jerónimo Martins Polska) may have been surprised at checkout. Not by the amount of the bill, but by the length of the receipt issued at the cash register. It turns out that the discount store, depending on the amount to be paid, provided customers with paper vouchers for various products.
And these are horror recipes. I spent about 6 PLN on buns and some cheese. And I have a feeling that I will rent faster with this receipt xD “ladybug, oh ladybug” xD@BiedronkaOffic pic.twitter.com/KGwTK935De

This is interesting because just a few weeks ago Biedronka boasted about digitizing receipts.
From July 23, customers of the chain who hold the Moja Biedronka card or the Biedronka mobile application have the opportunity to use the e-fiscal receipt service. So far, the solution has covered 1,700 branches.
“Assuming that customers using the Biedronka Moja card/Biedronka mobile app will use the new functionality available in their stores, savings on paper receipts could amount to 75,000 kilometers per year,” the chain boasted of its eco-friendly solution.

“An important communication tool”
So why have you opted for a very analog solution in recent days? – Receipts, in addition to their obvious role, are an important communication tool for us – we use them most often to inform our customers about the most important promotions, food promotions or the Biedronka Home online store, which allow them to make real savings – explains Konrad Nafalski, senior manager of corporate communications at the Biedronka chain, in a comment for Wirtualnemedia.pl.
– We also print vouchers of a specific value that customers can redeem for purchases in our stores. Customers can now activate electronic receipts in the mobile app – adds the manager.
Biedronka has approximately 3,596 stores in Polandwhich is visited by an average of 5 million customers per day.
