FC Bayern Munich footballers are still at the top of the Bundesliga after the third matchday. The champions won 5:1 (2:1) at home against TSG Hoffenheim, who suffered their second defeat. The decisive player in the match was Danish player Pernille Harder who scored a hat-trick (min. 45/min. 57/88).
Eintracht Frankfurt, long-term rivals VfL Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen follow Munich in the standings on seven points each.
The visitors initially took the lead through Selina Cerci’s dream goal (28) with a shot into the far corner. Georgia Stanway then equalized for Bayern through a hand penalty (42′).
Shortly after, Harder headed the ball into the lead from a completely unmarked position. For Munich’s third goal, she was fortunate that Hoffenheim goalkeeper Laura Dick misjudged the shot. Just before the end, the Dane scored her third goal of the night. Sydney Lohmann got the final score in added time (90+3).
