Barcelona are looking for a retired goalkeeper to replace Ter Stegen

Barcelona are in the market for a goalkeeper and are considering hiring someone who has retired. The Catalan club are investigating the situation of 34-year-old Polish international Szczesny, who announced his retirement last month after not renewing his contract with Juventus.

The Pole is Barcelona’s first-choice replacement for Germany’s Ter Stegen, who ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee last Sunday, in the 5-1 win against Villarreal, in the Spanish Championship, and is out for the rest of the season.

Another goalkeeper who has been linked with a move to Barcelona is Costa Rica’s Keylor Navas, who is a Real Madrid idol and has won the Champions League three times, and is currently without a club.

It is worth noting that the team has Iñaki Peña, 25, Astragala, 20, and Kochen, 18, in the position, but are looking for someone with more experience to replace the German.
