The Backstreet Boys were celebrated at the Glücksfühle festival at the Hockenheimring. They performed their hits like ‘I Want to Do That’, ‘Shape of My Heart’ and ‘Everybody’ in a good mood. Thousands of fans sang along with them. According to the organizers, this is the only European concert by an American band this year. The five-piece have made boy band history with numerous pop hits.

The Backstreet Boys entertained the crowd with video clips, rehearsed choreography, and well-known hits. They repeatedly emphasized how excited they were to perform in Germany.

Former national football player Lukas Podolski and musical director Markus Krampe are in charge of the festival. “They make good music and put on a great show,” said Poldi before the festival, about the Backstreet Boys, who have been on stage together for over 30 years. “You grow up with it.”

Organizers are expecting around 90,000 festival-goers on Friday. Performances by Shirin David, Die Fantastischen Vier, Tokio Hotel, Jan Delay and others are also on the program. The festival officially runs until Sunday. The concerts end on Saturday night.
