Sebastian M., a BMW driver who was involved in an accident on the A1 motorway a year ago, was to receive residency status (commonly known as a “golden visa”) in the United Arab Emirates. The man has been waiting for the decision of the Abu Dhabi extradition court for eleven months.
– Speaking to Interia, Foreign Ministry spokesman Paweł Wroński said that Polish diplomacy sent a question on this matter to the mission in the United Arab Emirates – we read on the Interia website.

– Sebastian M. allegedly caused an accident on the A1 motorway in mid-September 2023, in which a family of three died. He himself was not injured and quickly left Poland. The investigation is still ongoing, and the suspect is already at large, albeit in a limited capacity, in the United Arab Emirates – we write in rp.pl.
– The evidence collected by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Piotrków Trybunalski allowed issuing a decision to charge Sebastian M. with committing an act under Art. 177 § 2 of the Criminal Code – causing a fatal traffic accident. Due to the absence of the aforementioned, a search for him was initiated on the territory of Poland with an international arrest warrant, after obtaining a court decision on his temporary arrest – prosecutor Anna Adamiak, spokeswoman for the National Prosecutor’s Office, commented on the case for “Rzeczpospolita”.
