A mother and her two children, all Italian. They are the three victims of an accident that happened on Tuesday afternoon in Esslingen, Germany. Antonella Ribisi, 39, and her two children Gabriel and Alessio, 6 and 3, lost their lives. The family originates from Palma di Montechiaro, in the province of Agrigento.

The investigations

Local police are investigating what may have caused the incident. The Audi was coming from Weilstrasse in the direction of themtinger bridge and suddenly began to skid. There was no evidence of alcohol or drug use by the driver, a 54-year-old man who was taken to hospital. “But obviously that will be checked based on the blood sample,” a police spokesman said.
