An osiecznica in Lubuskie Voivodeship near the Oder was almost completely flooded. More than 70 properties were flooded, and water seeped into basements. Floodwaters from the Oder River flowed into the local Biela River, flooding the village more and more by the hour.
While parts of southern Poland have begun cleaning up after the floods, some areas are still struggling to cope with high water levels.
On Tuesday Peak wave on the Oder River past Cigacice in Lubusz Province. Water also reached Osiecznica in Krosno County.
RMF FM reporter Aneta Łuczkowska reported this during the day waves from the Oder River flow into the local Biela River and flood the village more and more every hour.
Osiecznica residents stressed that this was the third flood in their lifetime.
The weather forecast said so the water level in this city will rise another 40 centimeters.
