Andrzej Duda and Donald Trump were to attend the unveiling ceremony of the Monument to Solidarity and the Poles’ struggle for independence after 1945. The event is organized by the Katyn-Smolensk Committee.
The Polish president and the Republican presidential candidate were scheduled to meet at the Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
If such a meeting were to take place during the US election campaign, it would be an unusual case for a foreign leader to appear alongside one of the candidates.
According to Reuters, it is not known why Donald Trump’s team changed plans or whether the meeting with Andrzej Duda will take place at a different location or time.
