On the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, President Duda went to Kyiv. He took part in the celebrations there together with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Lithuania Ingrida Shimonyte.
– I am moved to be here with you in a free and independent Ukraine, just as I was on February 23, on the eve of the Russian aggression, to show that our neighbors are on Ukraine’s side, to show that we are not afraid – said the president.
Poland will continue to support Ukraine on its path towards EU membership
He added that Poland will not be afraid of Russia and will continue to supply Ukraine with weapons and train its soldiers.
– We are thrilled to see the PT-91 Twardy tanks that we donated more than a year ago to defend Ukraine on the battlefields. They are fighting in the Kursk region, where Ukraine shows that it has strength and is capable of striking back with pride, he commented.
