Ana Furtado revealed why she decided to leave Globo in July 2022, after 26 years under contract. In an interview with the PodDelas podcast, the presenter explained that she was not satisfied professionally.
“It was not good for me, I did not have a protagonist and I was not involved in the projects that I really wanted. I spent 28 years doing what I had to do, but it was not always what I wanted or liked to do”, said Ana, who often acts as a substitute for other presenters on the station.

She also highlighted that facing cancer made her rethink her life and priorities. “After this whole process, I realized that it was time to stop, breathe, recalculate my trajectory and decide what I really want to do. And what I want are things that are important to me, meaningful, meaningful and, most importantly, that make me happy,” she added.
End of an era! Boninho leaves Globo after 40 years
Ana Furtado has been married for more than 20 years to the former man in charge of directing several Globo programs, Boninho, who is leaving Globo after 40 years. The announcement was made last Friday, the 13th, by the channel’s boss, Amauri Soares.
For the past 25 years, Boninho has led Big Brother Brasil, earning him the nickname Big Boss. He has also led the reality shows ‘No Limite’, ‘Popstar’, ‘The Voice’, ‘Mestre’ do Sabor’ and others.
