An American lass gave the British Greggs sausage roll a whirl, but found herself a little on the wrong side of the salty treat.
The Peachy family make a lot of videos on TikTok of their adventures in the UK, and true to their inquisitive nature, they decided to snap up some of Greggs’ famous offerings, including the much-loved sausage roll.
Lina, Jules’ daughter, grabbed the classic snack and found it “really good” but not quite up to par with the version from the local village store. The rating was an almost perfect 9.5/10.
Heading deeper into Greggs’ pastries, Lina did a tour of the taste buds with a corned beef patty, which she found tasty but “too mushy”. The bacon cheese wrap was a different story, as this got a full 10/10 from Lina due to its strong taste.
Likewise, the pizza offering received high marks, 10/10, satisfying the American palate impressively.
With over 9,000 views, the clip sent TikTokers into a frenzy with comments, with some Greggs insiders even agreeing with Lina’s top picks.
A Greggs member of staff responded saying: “Hi, I’m the guys at Greggs. Glad you liked the shop and, may I say, I agree with your favourites. They’re mine too.”
Another defended the vegan option: “The vegan sausage roll is better than the normal one.” Meanwhile, a third suggested, “Have a sausage, cheese and bean melt, please.”
