The Israeli army reported the killing of another member of Hezbollah’s leadership, the commander of the Preventive Security Unit, Nabil Qaouq. The attack occurred in the early hours of Saturday (9/28) to Sunday (9/29) in the suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon. According to the army, the man was a member of the Central Organization Council.
On Friday (9/27), an Israeli operation led to the killing of Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah. The leader’s body was recovered “intact,” according to information from Reuters news agency. The sources told the agency that the body was not harmed, and the cause of death appeared to be strong shock as a result of the force of the explosion.
According to Benjamin Netanyahu’s security forces, another 20 members of the group were “eliminated” in the attack. The bombing targeted a base for the organization located, according to the Israeli army, near civilian buildings and United Nations schools.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health says that the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, between September 16 and 27, left about a thousand dead in the country, including 56 women and 87 children. Another 6 thousand people were injured.
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced on Sunday that the number of refugees in the country could reach one million.
