After carrying out a search and seizure at the parliamentarian’s house on Friday (25/10), the Federal Police (PF) summoned Bolsonaro Federal MP Gustavo Guyer (PL-GO) to give a statement on 1 November.
Investigators intend to question Guyer about evidence that points to an alleged scheme to divert public resources from the parliamentary quota in the MP’s office in the House.
In addition to Gayer, 17 other of his advisers and allies were targeted in the PF operation which carried out 18 search and seizure warrants in five towns in the Federal District and Goiás on Friday morning.
During the searches, federal police seized R$72,000 in cash from the home of one of Bolsonaro’s advisers. This is Bruno Amaral Machado, who works as the parliamentary secretary of the MP.
As reported in the column, Bruno told police the money would come from his 73-year-old mother’s savings. The funds, according to him, will apply to property rents that the mother receives.
About 60 Federal Police officers were involved in the PF operation. The orders were served in Brasilia (DF), Cidade Oeste (GO), Valparaíso de Goias (GO), Aparecida de Goiânia (GO) and Goiânia (GO).
